​Sara Nicholson

Sara Nicholson is a New York City based Lyricist and Librettist.  She is a two-time alumna of New York University. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Gallatin School of Individualized Study in 2009, where her concentration was titled “The Social Responsibility of Theatre.” She earned her Master of Fine Arts degree in 2014 from the Tisch School of the Arts Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program. She was a 2015 Johnny Mercer Fellow, participating in both the Songwriters Workshop and the Writer's Colony at Goodspeed. She is a member of ASCAP and the Dramatist Guild.  Her work has been seen in New York City and beyond at venues such as, The Actor’s Temple Theater, 54 Below, Don’t Tell Mama’s, The Underground, Shetler Studios, North Western University, The Hangar Theater in Ithaca New York and Barrington Stage Company in Pittsfield, Massachusetts.
